About this listen

Stephen Fry brings the richness of these magical stories to life in the original British recordings.

'You are sharing the Dark Lord's thoughts and emotions. The Headmaster thinks it inadvisable for this to continue. He wishes me to teach you how to close your mind to the Dark Lord.'

Treat your ears to a performance so rich and captivating you'll imagine yourself in the halls of Hogwarts. Wherever you listen, the unmistakable voice of Stephen Fry is guaranteed to guide you ever more deeply into this magical story and transport you to the heart of the adventure.

Dark times have come to Hogwarts. After the Dementors' attack on his cousin Dudley, Harry Potter knows that Voldemort will stop at nothing to find him. There are many who deny the Dark Lord's return, but Harry is not alone: a secret order gathers at Grimmauld Place to fight against the Dark forces. Harry must allow Professor Snape to teach him how to protect himself from Voldemort's savage assaults on his mind. But they are growing stronger by the day and Harry is running out of time...

Theme music composed by James Hannigan

Having become classics of our time, the Harry Potter stories never fail to bring comfort and escapism. With their message of hope, belonging and the enduring power of truth and love, the story of the Boy Who Lived continues to delight generations of new listeners.

One of the best yet the...

Well, speaking truly and fully from my heart... this is a really good one, good narration, great story, superb plot development, lowest and worst villain that ever existed in any fantasy series but seriously 29 hours... it's even more than the last book and the last one sort of sorts everything out...
Overall:- Wouldn't like to re listen because of lack of time but would recommend to anyone who has free time.

Extremely Creative Narration

I am in love with how creatively the Harry Potter books are narrated. The audio effects, the way the narrator uses high & low pitches as per the different characters is just wonderful.

Excellent book

It took a while to complete this audiobook but from here Rowling has started taking this book into a darker side. Hogwarts meet a nightmare in from of professor Umbridge never have I hated a fictional character more than I hated her curious to see whether she makes any further appearance. This book has bent slightly towards the character development side than the plot. Good to see Harry and his mates are dealing with some more adult issues & Neville gaining some nerves 😂. Very gripping book specially the last few chapters, amazingly narrated by Stephen Fry overall another outstanding edition by JK Rowling.

First Audiobook Experience

I'm a Potterhead and have read all the books within two days of launch. However, this was my first attempt at an audiobook ever and I must say I'm super impressed. I was literally visualising every scene as described just like I did while reading. The overall experience was outstanding. Default rate of playback was a bit slow, so I kept it at 1.15x which felt comfortable.

Stephen Fry brought the book to life. I don't think anyone could've offered the experience that he did.
